The TrumpTax is a Bad Deal for New Jersey
Last Friday, we joined community leaders, grassroots activists, and tax experts for a press conference to highlight the repercussions of the Republican tax plan in New Jersey. New Jersey is one of the states most heavily affected by the new tax plan.
We joined NJ Working Families Alliance and CWA District 1 to show that the Republican tax bill signed into law by President Donald Trump leaves working New Jerseyans behind.
Recent analysis shows that the TrumpTax overwhelmingly benefits the richest Americans while *actually* raising taxes on middle-class families.
“Tom MacArthur’s tax cut is larger than the average worker’s salary in his district,” said Seth Hahn of CWA District 1.
Friday’s event was part of the 100-day Repeal the TrumpTax tour, which is traveling across the country to show how local communities will be impacted by the law.
